The Board of Directors of Talent-ETC announces with regret that, after 8 years as Managing Director of Talent-ETC, Jennis Williamson will be stepping down from his executive position on 31 March 2017.
Recognizing that Jennis will continue to add strategic value and guidance to Talent-ETC as both shareholder and non-executive director on the Board of Directors of Talent-ETC, the Board has accepted his request to step down as Managing Director in order for him to pursue his other passion – that of film and television producer – and wished him great success in his endeavors.
As Managing Director, Jennis’ leadership and expertise guided and positioned Talent-ETC to become one of the leading and trendsetting artist agencies in South Africa. Through his knowledge of the entertainment industry and professional expertise, he mentored not only his team and artists, but also guided and advised clients to the benefit of clients and artists alike. In recognizing this immense and lasting contribution, fellow board members, Daniel Rheed and Johan Kruger, expressed their greatest appreciation to Jennis and welcomed his continued contribution as non-executive director.
Considering the carefully planned and managed transition, Talent-ETC's artists and clients can rest assured that our professional service and values are engrained in our brand and our people – and will continue to serve them well. In this regard, Jennis emphasized that “after 12 years of being an artist agent, I am handing over the reins knowing that our team, especially Boniswa Holland and Juliette Jansen, will as respected and established agents in South Africa, continue to pursue those values and excellence that are synonymous with the Talent-ETC brand”. He reiterated that as a non-executive director, promoting and enhancing the Talent-ETC brand will remain a top priority for him.
The Board is hence pleased to announce the appointment of Juliette Jansen as acting Managing Director with effect 1 April 2017 until 30 June 2017, and the appointment of Boniswa Holland as acting Managing Director with effect 1 July until 31 October 2017, pending a permanent appointment by the Board after this period.
