Megan Thodlana was born in Cape Town but was raised by her mother in Johannesburg with her siblings, 3 older brothers and her twin sister and best friend who is in the entertainment industry along with her. Some of the things that she loves doing is sports, dance, educating herself in history and mostly the entertainment industry. Her love for the entertainment industry started when she started dancing at a very young age and knew earlier on in life that she was called to be in film. During school she and her sister had choreographed for events and beauty pageants, where they later went on to participating in pageants and eventually becoming judges for the pageant events. After school they went on to pursue their passion by doing a short course about acting at the Nelson Mandela theatre hosted by Duma Ndlovu creator of TV series Muvango. They have also done work for YoTV and commercials such as Always, Wimpy and Vodacom. Her aim is to become a powerhouse in the film industry across the globe and empower young women like herself one day. She has many role models in the industry and would like to work with the greats one day like Viola Davis, Sandra Bullock, Naomie Harris etc. In her off time she keeps busy at a youth camp as a leader and assists her twin sister with her new up and coming company. In Fifty the series Megan plays Serena (One of Kunle's twin daughters) and says that playing the character of Serena has been loads of fun and a great learning experience, working with the director Akin Omotoso and the film crew was great. She feels like she has learned so much about the film industry and what it entails. This is just the begging for her and her sister and they are willing to take that chance.
