Candice studied Drama at the University of Pretoria (2009-2011) and completed her BA (Hons) degree in Acting, Physical Theatre and Performance Art Management in 2012. She furthered her acting skills by training at Acting on Screen for two consecutive courses and is trained in classical ballet through R.A.D. After graduating, Candice did children’s theatre productions and was cast in an international TVC for Unity Media in 2014. Shortly afterwards she played Anna Marie (Lead), in Darrell Roodt’s Seun (2014). She also appeared in Roodt’s feature films Treurgrond (2014) and Trouvoete (2015). She was cast several music videos in 2015 including The Sunflower Fund and Ruan Wepeners’1 uit 100 000, in aid of cancer. She then played a receptionist for the British company Replay, in a corporate video for Accenture in 2016. Following shortly, she played the lead role of Jeanie Cronje in the kykNET Silwerskerm festival shortfilm Die Muse (2016). In 2017 Candice was selected as a stand-in for the Australian Television Show ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’, in which she successfully completed grueling physical and metal challenges. Although her first love is film and television, she considers it important to be versatile through singing and dancing as well and loves the theatre. Candice’s stage performances include ‘Bonny’ in Floozy the Musical (2011),‘Jane’ in A Burning Room (2012) ‘Anastasia’ in Cinderella Kids (2013)and performing along side Gospel divas Rebecca Mohlope and Marlie Kelly in Daughters of the King (2014). When she’s not in front of the camera, Candice obtains experience as Production Assistant and Production Manager (Verskietende Ster (2015), Treurgond (2015), and Trouvoete (2015) and Assistant Director (Vat Jou Goed En Trek - Season 1) and considers it necessary to learn about the various elements of film- and television making.
