Candice studied Drama at the University of Pretoria (2009-2012) with a BA (Hons) degree in Acting, Physical Theatre and Performance Art Management. She further trained at Acting on Screen for two consecutive courses and has trained in classical ballet through R.A.D. After graduating, Candice did children’s theatre productions including puppet theatre and has a natural ability for voice acting and accents. Her television- and film credits include: international TVC for Unity Media (2014); local commercials for Private Property, Married at First Sight, OUTsurance and Brutal Fruit; Anna Marie (Lead), in Darrell Roodt’s feature film Seun (2014); Treurgrond (2014) Trouvoete (2015); Jeanie Cronje (Lead) in the kykNET Silwerskerm festival short film Die Muse (2016), and music videos such as ‘1 uit 100 000’ by Ruan Wepener for the Sunflower Fund (2015); ‘Plaasmeisie’ by MAN (2015) and ‘Sexy Baby’ by NRG (2014).She also played the receptionist for the British company Replay, in a corporate video for Accenture in 2016 and was selected as a stand-in for the Australian Television show ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’ (2017). Candice’s most recent stage performances include ‘Ilse’ (Lead) in My Japan (2017),’Sue Knoll’ in My Man se Skelmpie se Skelmpie se Vrou (2017), a performing as a member of the choir performing along side Gospel divas Rebecca Mohlope and Marlie Kelly in Daughters of the King (2014) and ‘Anastasia’in Cinderella Kids (2013). When she’s not in front of the camera, Candice obtains experience in Production Assisting and Management (Verskietende Ster (2015); Treurgond (2015); and Trouvoete (2015) and Assistant Director (Vat Jou Goed En Trek - Season 1) and considers it necessary to learn about the various elements of film- and television making as she aspires to make films of her own in the future. She can also be seen in the quirky web series #ChasingJoburg in 2018.
