Having quite an early start, Chanel has been singing since the age of 6 years old, having her first live performance at the age of 9. She grew up in Johannesburg and entered various competitions in her early teen years, of which one was the South African Championships of the performing arts, this lead to her traveling to Los Angeles for the World Championships of Performing Arts. Chanel graduated from the University of Johannesburg with her National Diploma in Fine Arts. Chanel has performed for various corporate functions including SABC 2, Discovery health and Nedbank to name a few and has worked with the likes of South African greats Mortimer Williams, Tumisho Masha and Craig Urbani. She entered Miss Earth South Africa in 2012 and through this female empowerment platform, got involved in various community development programs. Her journey with Miss Earth South Africa found her traveling to Zambia where her and a group of finalists assisted in a tree planting expedition. Chanel reached the top 17 and was crowned 2nd in the Miss Earth South Africa 2012 Final. In 2015 she took part in the first season of the Voice South Africa and is now a front line female vocalist for an elite South African Corporate Band-Blubamboo. In terms of traveling, Chanel has been to over 60 places around the world after leaving South Africa in 2013 to perform as part of the theatre production cast. Traveling has helped expand her horizons and understanding of the entertainment industry and because of this is studying her Diploma in French. Chanel is a self-employed entrepreneur who is driven by empowering young woman in various communities and believes that through being a brand herself, the youth will have a positive place to turn to for help and inspiration, this is her purpose.
