Diani Gernandt’s career of almost two decades has shaped her into a highly skilled, experienced and respected artist both on the stage and on screen. She is a proficient and sought after producer, director and production manager, effortlessly migrating to behind the scenes designations. Her versatility crowns her with a wealth of experience in theatre and screen work; in-front of and behind the camera. An alumnus of The National School of the Arts, Diani graced the stage with the acclaimed South African Ballet Theatre during the early stages of her career, followed by a time at The Fantastic Flying Fish Dance Company in Durban. She later made her debut into the musical theatre genre as part of Chicago- The Musical , original South African cast. Other musical theatre credits include: The King and I, We Will Rock You, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Goldilocks and The Three Bears, Jack and The Beanstalk and Starlight Express. Diani’s screen credits include The Loft House, Pretville, French Toast, Sterlopers, Uit Die Kaskenades, April and a host of prominent local and international commercials. Diani is proudly represented by Talent-Etc Artist Management, Alushi Models and a devoted ambassador for Follicle Hair Atelier. In more recent years Diani has further advanced into the film industry represented by CallaCrew Agency, applying her knowledge and skill sets on a variety of film, corporate and commercial productions, either as Assistant Director, Production Manager or Cast Coordinator. She has worked with several esteemed production houses such as Mann Made Media, Riverstone Communications, Kojak Films, Fresh Eye Films, The Bomb Shelter Films, Ola Films, Hartiwood and Bottomline Productions. She further boasts a BCom Marketing Degree, is a gifted voice artist and presenter; and for twelve years managed an entertainment and educational company FAD Inc. Diani strives to live a life of her own design, surrounding herself with like-minded individuals who share her passion for life and the arts.
