Dorette Potgieter is also seen as Mrs Siebert in Alle macht den Kindern a German TV movie, directed by Carlo Rola. Dorette Potgieter recently had the opportunity to work with acclaimed director and cinematographer Alik Sakharov in season 3 of Black Sails as the Magistrate's wife, produced by STARZ and filmed at the Cape Town Film Studios with local production company Film Africa. Die Pro, a André Velts film with Dorette Potgieter in another cameo role due for release in SA cinemas on 18 September 2015. Die Byl, a new local crime investigation drama TV series is due for release with Dorette Potgieter in a cameo role as Jolene, based on Piet Byleveld's life with director Regardt van den Bergh for kykNet. Dorette Potgieter also stars in the new GT Bank (Nigeria) TVC. Dorette Potgieter is part of the Irwin Mitchell Insurance campaign (UK); Claritin (USA); and OBI (Russia). Well received Afrikaans television drama series Vloeksteen 1&2 released in 2013 - 2014 offered Dorette Potgieter the opportunity to re entered the South African television market as an actor, after giving birth to her only daughter in 2009. She landed a lead part in this series as Sandra Cilliers, the under cover agent, produced for kykNet, directed by Regardt van den Bergh. Diana Keam and director of photography Michael Buckley in association with Sway Events, produced a promotional video for the One Billion Rising international campaign run by women for women. Dorette Potgieter and daughter Lia Luna Li Lätti, together with local Cape Town talent and band Touch Wood, star in this video as part of a movement, which calls for an end to violence and gender inequality. Dorette Potgieter is a known South African actor and celebrity with a CV that range from film, theatre and television since the 80's. She has worked with local and international directors and became a household name in 1997 with her role in Egoli as Susan Bosman. Dorette has voiced campaigns that include Pick a Pay Koekedoor TV & Fresh Living radio spots, The South African Western Cape Government, Lindt Chocolate, Visi Magazine, Chevrolet, East Rand Mall, Mac Cosmetics, FNB Financial Service provider, Medical Investigation SABC, Standard Bank, Nature Conservation Western Cape, De Beers Diamonds, and Radio Dramas for Afrikaans radio station RSG. On the international market she has worked for American, Canadian, German, French and UK broadcasters.
