After studying entertainment technology at Tshwane University of technology for 1 year, Marlee completed her 3-year diploma in Musical theatre at the same institution. During this period Marlee excelled in various areas and having a natural flair for choreography, she was invited to the FNB Dance Umbrella festival in 2004, where her piece Violence on violins was performed. After Marlee graduated, she immediately joined the cast of the musical classic Showboat under direction of Janice Honeyman, which have toured to Europe several times and also in South Africa. Marlee has toured the world and has also charmed local audiences in many international musical productions such as Mamma Mia, The Full Monty, Jesus Christ Superstar, Cabaret and High School Musical. She got nominated for her portrayal of Sharpay in High School Musical. Apart from musicals, Marlee has also performed as a front-line singer in many supper theatre productions for the Barnyard, Performer Theatre and The Stage Door Theatre. Recently, she played the vicious stepmother, Ursula, in Add-Life’s pantomime, Aspoetertjie. Her life long dream to work in the television and Film industry finally got realized when she made her debut as Melanie in LIEFLING. More movies such as PRETVILLE, PAD NA JOU HART, and TROUVOETE soon followed, to name but a few. She has also enjoyed a busy season on the TV series platform where she played key roles in STERLOPERS and BLOEDBROERS. In the soap world, she made her mark in 2015 in VILLA ROSA. Marlee is no stranger to the studio, and music is were she feels most at home. She has been involved in numerous CD productions as song writer, co- producer, arranger and vocal director. She has written and arranged music for movies, albums, and even a fashion parade on 7de-Laan.
