Tamarin is most famous for her work in the popular local series Egoli, where she portrayed the part of Cat, a red haired vixen. She also made a name in the ever popular Afrikaans series Getroud Met Rugby as the hard headed Vanesmari. These parts earned her a variety of magazine cover shoots, interviews with the likes of Kwêla and Glitterati and a spot on FHM’s top 100 in 2008! But she’s not only a soap star. She acquired her honours degree at Stellenbosch University, specialising in acting and physical theatre, where she worked closely with the likes of Marthinus Basson and Antoinette Kellerman in productions such as The Importance of Being Ernest. Short afterwards she joined Cape Heart Theatre Company in portraying the part of Ophelia. After completing an acting course for the screen at City Varsity she landed a part in the reality travel show Sho’t Left, which shows off her adventurous side. More recently she appeared in Pierre van Pletzen’s Knypie 1&2 at the State Theatre in Pretoria and the Civic in Johannesburg respectively. She features alongside local celebrities in an internet ad campaign aimed to stop human trafficking. Currently she is busy working as a script supervisor in major international films like Detour, Resident Evil 6, Black Sails and many more.
