Thembeka is ambitious, hardworking and talented. A survivor of Domestic Abuse Thembeka is a single parent to a son named Sabelo who is 5 years old and suffers from severe Autism. Thembeka knew from a very young age that she was made for the entertainment industry and although there were many obstacles in her way she has never given up on her dream and through courage, she is now pursuing that. Thembeka has always been part of every artistic project even in her school years, because of that she developed so much confidence. Thembeka was first given a chance by the Guru of all Theatre shows Mr. Pieter Torien back in 2007 a role of Martha Cox in the High School Musical where she played one of the Lead Characters. She was then cast on the spot by the West End Directors in another musical Grease where she was given two roles: Miss Lynch “the school Principal” and The Angel from the Sky “Beauty School Dropout” and was later nominated for a Naledi Award: Best New Comer for her contribution in the musical. As an attempt to go back into the entertainment industry, she recently took part in The Voice Season 1 which aired on MNET in 2016 where she impressed the judges so much and under Karen Zoid’s coaching she made it to the finals of the show, because of her hard work she was signed by Universal Music. She has a single out called Brave and is pursuing her acting career while she is performing all over SA. When she’s not performing in festivals, she is taking care of her son with the help of family. She truly believe that hard work pays off, which is why when she is on stage she gives 100% to her craft.
