Marise started drama lessons at the age of four. Since then she took part in Eisteddfods and won several trophies. In 2014 she took part in the South African Talent Championships and won 3 platinum (highest achievement) medals in the acting category. Marise landed her first professional role at the age of five in the stage production "Balkie", where she played the baby “Hus”. It featured at Innibos, The Performer Theater, Pierneef Theater and Die Volksbald Kunstefees in Bloemfontein. At the age of seven she starred as a lead in "SMS:Babakoors!", a stage production at the Vryfees and Atterbury Theater. In 2013 she landed her first role in a feature film, "Musiek vir die agtergrond". Then followed the feature film "Agent 2000:Die Laksman" in 2014 where she played a lead, Madelie. Marise is a free-spirited girl with a passion for nature and animals. She loves acting, singing and athletics.
