Dricus has been a student of the Ilze Grové Drama School since 2013. He performed in several one-man-shows since 2013. He has been competing in the Pretoria Eisteddfod since 2006 and has achieved numerous A++. Alongside the Pretoria Eisteddfod, Dricus has also performed yearly at the Noorderkruin Kunstefees and Kungwini Eisteddfod. In the years 2012 till 2015 he took part in the ATKV Spelathon on Provincial level. He was awarded 3rd place in the Povincial Round in 2013. Dricus is an excellent public speaker since 2008. In 2015 he took part in the national final of the ”ATKV Onvoorbereide Redenaars” and achieved 2nd position. His debate team competed in the national final of the ATKV Debate. He played the role of Anthonie in the production called “Die druppel en die brief.” at the ATKV Tiener toneel in 2015 and was rewarded with an individual Silver Certificate for Acting. In 2015 he was awarded 1st position at the SATCH for his piece called “Sports the difference”, in the Comedy category in Acting. Dricus is a talkative person who loves acting, hockey and nature. Alongside his friendly personality and good sense of humour, Dricus loves his hobbies – pigeon racing and bird farming. He always strives to do the best he can and to live life to the fullest.
