vian singleton

 His given name Vian, fittingly means "Full of Life". He currently attends Primary School in his home town Meyerton where he has been appointed as Head Boy for 2018. He was formally discovered as an actor by Nita Brochu, well known Talent Manager at New Beginnings Entertainment in Los Angeles in January 2015 at an International Talent Competition, where he was announced as winner in 11 Categories which included Overall Junior Actor of the Year, Model of the Year, Best TV Commercial, Best Dialogue and Best Monologue. He has made significant inroads in the industry upon his return to South Africa from Hollywood. It started with a local TV commercial with Protea Cricket Players for Sunfoil, followed by the role of “Young Dap” in the South African movie “My Father’s War” alongside Edwin van Der Walt, Stian Bam and Erica Wessels. He was then cast as a “School boy” in the International movie Resident Evil: The Final Chapter with Milla Jovovic. After a nationwide search by LEFRA productions in 2016/2017 where they auditioned over 300 children, he was chosen for the role of young Benjamin Komoetie in the Theatre Production: Fiela Se Kind and has made this role his own alongside Shaleen Surtie Richards. They are currently touring Nationwide in theatres and at Arts Festivals. He has just received a nomination as “Best Performer in a Featured Role in a Play (Professional)” by Broadway World South Africa for this role. Vian also appeared in 60 Episodes as a young TV presenter for SABC2’s educational program: The Epic Hangout early in 2017 before he was recruited to join the Team at Danie Odendaal Productions to feature in the well-known soapie 7de Laan, in the role of Thomas Fouche, an ongoing role which he thoroughly enjoys. He has also done some work as “extra” on set for “Vir die Voels” movie as well as Binnelanders TV series. He regularly attends acting courses and workshops to learn from the best and these included “Act Out Workshop”, with Karin Retief, Johan Engelbrecht and Elma Potgieter as mentors. He also completed courses with Jacques Blignaut, Dorette Potgieter and Brumilda van Rensburg. His work to date has given him the opportunity to do numerous TV, Radio and Printed media interviews which he thoroughly enjoys as well. Vian is a well-balanced, hardworking, coach-able young actor with a lot of passion for the industry who enjoys every moment of the journey he has undertaken. He prioritises his Academic performance and has been awarded the Dux pupil with the best Academic Achievement in his school for the 6th year running, along with many Academic Awards for the various subjects. Mathematics is his favourite subject and he maintained an average of 98% for 2017. He is an avid athlete too and won gold medals at the D7 regional athletics championships in the 100m and 150m finals in 2017 where he qualified for the Gauteng Schools Athletics Championships. He also attended the South African Championships of the Performing Arts in 2017 where he walked away with 18 Medals which included 8 Gold medals for Acting and Modelling. He also supports charity initiatives as model and has won the overall Mr Generous Hearts title, Overall Mr Face of Ultimate Productions as well as Mr Face of SWITCH: and served as an ambassador for this Anti Bullying Campaign. His mottos in life are: “It’s nice to be cool….but it’s much cooler to be nice” and also Dwayne Johnson’s…”Be humble, be hungry and always be the hardest worker in the room”
