Stefan Vermaak started his professional acting career in theatre at the age of 15, in 2007 as one of the leading characters (Benjamin Komoeti) in Fiela se Kind, directed by Sandra Prinsloo in the State Theatre, Carnival City, Art Scape and various Arts Festivals such as Innibos and Aardklop. In 2009 he was awarded Best Dramatic Monologue at National Eisteddfod and in his matric year he became the head boy of the well known afrikaans school, Die Hoërskool Menlopark. In 2011, at the age of 18, Stefan made his Television debut in Deon Opperman’s drama series Hartland were he played one of the lead characters, Neil. Shortly after the series he got offered a role in the afrikaans soap Villa Rosa, where he played the character of Wouter Viljoen from 2011 to 2016. His voice also became known to the public as Waldermar Fourie in Leon van Nierop’s radio drama Ratels in 2012, where he was part of the lead cast until 2014. Also on RSG, Stefan played in various other radio dramas. In 2015 Stefan landed his first feature film role as Burger in the movie Somer Son. Currently in his sixth year in the entertainment industry Stefan was also seen in the series High Rollers on SABC 3 and a kykNET short film, More As ons groot is. He is also well known as MC at various functions. Stefan is a versatile entertainer with an exceptional strong voice, energetic friendly personality and diverse acting ability and presence.
