Jo D. Jonz is a seasoned veteran in the entertainment industry as a method actor, director, writer, producer and owner of Jonz Unltd, an entertainment and media group. Born in New York City, he began acting as early as five years old and has appeared in over a hundred ads, print, commercials and television productions. Jonz landed his first major role at six years old co-starring with the legendary Taj Mahal and by the age of eight, he performed in his first film in Eddie Murphy’s Raw. His continued success led him to work with some of today’s legendary actors during his former years. Jonz has appeared in such shows as NYPD Blue, The Guardian, Girlfriends, ER, Cold Case, Monk, and Criminal Minds. He can currently be seen in the feature films Next Day Air and the award winning film Midnight Son, executive produced by Eduardo Sanchez, director and writer of “The Blair Witch Project.” to be released in January 2012. Most recently he has appeared in the internationally critically acclaimed film John Of God and Jonz will appear as a series regular this fall on TV One’s “The Big Leaf” starring Tony Rock, executive produced by Russell Simmons.
