| A Brief History |
|
Originally conceived and developed under the Creativentertainment™-trademark in the late spring of 2006, Talent Management formed one of the seven divisions structured within the dynamic and comprehensive Creativentertainment™ umbrella brand and quickly positioned itself as one of the fastest growing local talent agencies in recent years.
The objective for this new agency was to provide a unique, exciting and new professional and effective management service to performing artists (including musical theatre performers, television and corporate actors and performers, voice artists, solo artists and other personalities) aimed at enhancing quality in performance by ensuring professional service conditions and effective support to individual artists. And this objective was reached, a mere 2 years since the agency first opened its doors. In June 2009 - it became clear that the division Creativentertainment™ Talent Management had by far outgrown initial expectations and in order to not only continue providing professional and specialised representation and unique support to its artists, but also to expand and enhance its value-added services to a new level, it became necessary to reposition the agency as an independent and unconstrained company in early July 2009. Through this strategic repositioning Talent-ETC™ was born and appropriately the tongue-in-cheek strap line Brand new since 2007 accompanied this transition with eager anticipation. The transition not only meant the same professional and unique business as usual, but enhanced services, future growth, research, development and support - but also mirroring new offerings as an Entertainment Technologies Corporation (ETC). The agency under its new brand and structure continues to be headed by Managing Director Jennis Williamson and will furthermore continue to boast the very same portfolio incorporated from its Creativentertainment™ Talent Management-book, but already added a number of new faces including some of the most renown artists in the business. Talent-ETC™ prides itself in the proven development and nurturing of talent, we offer initiatives such as monthly workshops where artists have the opportunity to polish their auditioning and acting skills. This also gives the artists the opportunity to get to know their fellow Talent-ETC™ artists. As a value added service, all marketing, voice over and publicity campaigns are done by an in-house Agency Onemanshow Creative that also acts as Brand Custodian for Talent-ETC™ From internal promotions to above-the-line national campaigns, which also includes the use of web and internet based technology - this service ensures constant brand visibility for both artist and agency. We are passionate about our artists as well as the South African Entertainment Industry and we actively encourage our artists, not only be successful in their careers but also to branch out and give back to the community that supports their work. For this reason Talent-ETC™ is also involved with various charity events and initiatives in developing campaigns such as the June 2009 released SANBS (The South African National Blood Service) Ambassador Campaign as well as the 2012 UniqueMe Campaign that was executed nationally. 2013 holds some exciting new projects for the growing Talent-ETC™ team.
